Key & peele gay wedding

In preparation for their cousin's marriage to another man, a family asks a gay man questions about what the wedding ceremony will be like and for "advice" about attending. Everyone sits in the same section, people 臘‍♂️. This week it’s something arguably even trickier than fighting off a space invader attack: explaining a gay wedding to family members who want to be supportive but have questions. One of the most notable sketches from Key and Peele is the Homosexual Wedding sketch.

In this sketch, they humorously depict a same-sex wedding ceremony and explore the comedic possibilities and societal expectations surrounding LGBTQ+ weddings. Key is focusing on comedic roles while Peele is more interested in directing. There doesn't seem to be any bad blood, they just wanted to take their careers in different directions.

They still do random things together.

This is also the goal number one goal of their pseudo-news late night shows. However even without intentionally intending to do so, Key and Peele bring attention to the misconceptions of others when it comes to gay marriage and everything that it encompasses in one of their more recent sketches. The sketch itself is funny; I myself had a good laugh at various aspects of the sketch.

However, while being a form of comedic entertainment, the sketch also calls to mind some serious misconceptions that members of the LGBT community in general are forced to deal with on a daily basis. Both writers have a dedicated diverse following, however that following is still a fraction of what it should be.

However, that is the exact effect the sketch has. Key and Peele bring a different and effective medium to the table in order to open up the eyes of many about how backwards societies current views are towards the LGBT community: and that medium is humor.
