Paradise (also affectionately known as Parasite in my group of friends) can be a hit or miss adventure. It's a two floor club with the top floor being a bar area with a stage for male dancers, and the lower floor is where the dancing happens. One of Boston's longest running LGBTQ nightlife institutions, which often featured gogo dancers and underwear parties, will be closing it's doors for good later this month.

The building housing Paradise Cambridge, located at Massachusetts Avenue, has been sold to Novartis Pharmaceuticals to accommodate the company's expansion plans. Paradise is New England's only gay club featuring male dancers six nights a week. Paradise, the long-standing LGBTQ nightclub in Cambridge, closes its doors next week, it was reported in Bay Windows.

A Private User. This place is ridiculous. Used to come here a lot for great music and dancing, could always look past the playing on TVs and the poor strippers. But then I tried to bring some girlfriends having warned them about , strippers, etc for a great night of dancing. In one case, they told one of the girls that she was going to have to check her coat dress ZERO tolerance on the coat check policy.

When we tried pointing out that she had nothing on underneath a MOST unpleasant manager came out screaming at us. Even though we never made it past the coat check, they refused to refund the cover charge we had just paid. In another case they told another girl she couldnt come in because she was wearing heels. They say its because someone fell down the stairs in heels and theyre afraid of being liable.

Apparently its not just the strippers that dont have balls. Maybe theyre just trying to make it hard for women to come in. I dont know, it doesnt matter. Ill never return here. James Budkiewicz. Its an ok place. The drinks are average price and there is a large downstairs area for dancing and drinking. The upstairs area wasnt too large and had a go-go dancer with a bar.

The music isnt the best as they take top 40 songs and add the same techno beat to every song. Its nice to sing along and dance to these party songs and not hear the same beat! Its cash only, has a cover which I dont understand , and closes early as everything in Boston closes early. I will say that it was easy to get a drink at either bar upstairs or downstairs. There was a nice mixed crowd. It was alright, but nothing special nor spectacular.

Thomas Bullock. One of the most unfriendly places Ive ever been in the world. We were sat enjoying a drink and a fun night when a local regular appeared and put his jacket on the back of my friends chair. He then sat by me on my chair and started pushing me off. Within a couple of minutes his bouncer friends came along and kicked off telling us to leave.

All because we were apparantly in his seat. All very bizarre and inbred! A local bar for local people. Outsiders definitely not welcome!!! Very uncomfortable vibe from staff.
